Hytera Query Location

Last week, Hytera released a new series of firmware 6.0, including updates to the software package software for terminals and repeaters. Comprehensive article describing all the news and changes coming soon.
 
For the first mention completely new feature - Query Location. Allows protistanicím that are equipped with GPS receivers, each sharing their location manually query the radio menu. After a successful transmission of location data are coordinates in querying terminal converted to its own position, and the result is a direction and distance (in meters) from the other station.

Today was yet unofficially unveiled a brand new automotive radio Hytera which is not linked directly to any existing product line. As we reported in an earlier article about new products Hytera where this mobile radios mentioned no indication that date is more information available.

For those who have a problem with the built-radio Hytera MD782 in the car, or there is no suitable and affordable solutions using the remote mounting body panel and radio, Hytera is MD652 (in our region designated MD652) suitable option.

It should be noted that the new Hytera MD655, due to weaker hardware equipment, but that 90% of cases do not involve any operational restrictions suited good price, lower than MD782 (but that is not overpriced) if someone in China does not contest the pricing type : MD652 MD782 price = price + for remote mounting kit + surcharge for innovation.  We hope not and wish you the new interesting terminal success, as well definitely complements DMR products.

 

New VoIP interconnection with Hytera DMR repeater

In 2013, we successfully integrate and test the penetration of telephone lines to VoIP DMR Radiosim. It was not a connection based on the terminal, but more modern way - directly to the converter. As the head of the Czech koumavá, do not read manuals, inspires them up with solutions recommended by the manufacturer was still widespread hardware so that software can be remotely switched telephone line endings in analog FM channel, or the first or second timeslot DMR operating mode. Additionally, using the telephone gateway (Linksys SPA3102) allow configuration of two VoIP lines and one PSTN line, while between them in the login mode for gateway before assembling the call to the switch using DTMF.
Because we were (probably) the first in the Czech Republic with this solution based Hytera Zetron interface converter + + VoIP gateway again (probably) the first, we give you information about that after this solution is already outdated

As reported by the manufacturer is no longer in the development of new firmware 6.x series for all the converters (ie, RD982, RD962 and RD622 new), which will have integrated support for SIP.

What does it mean?
It will no longer need to interface to connect telephone lines and service I / O converters, typically the most common Zetron M30, which we tested in the above link. You will not have to do VoIP transmission using standard VoIP gateway (for transmission to analog PSTN lines itself sufficient just Zetron converter), but the PBX gateway, which enables both VoIP and PSTN and murders between LAN converter input and the corresponding router IP connectivity. There will therefore probably a native SIP client, as shown in the accompanying infographics, but it will need this solution.
What are the resulting changes?

• Saving a hardware element (in this case Zetron interface, which formed the terminal telephone lines and hardware controlled converter in transmission radiosity - phone)
• flexible control call type (group or private) by telephone (yet it was not and she was closely linked to the programmed TX contact the converter)
• opportunity conference calls (yet it was not)
• full use of both timeslots (separate line for each timeslot, yet was only one option)

All existing options should be retained, including our expansion. Of course the fact that in the analog mode is operationally active only one line and the number of VoIP lines and the possibility of an analog PSTN depends on the type of PBX (as an example is shown from Hytera Grandstream UCM6102, see figure below). Of course, both will be available firmware 6 Series, now we will try to test everything, including video like last time. Hopefully, too, that when the firmware will be promoted on a whole series of innovations and improvements will be more than just this.

Programming cable for mobile station and repeater Hytera

In this brief contribution we would like to give a small tip to build a programming cable for the mobile station and repeater signs Hytera. So if you want something more than ubastlit source, so here is a simple guide.
 
Note: Everything is here stated, the only character study and author of the article or Web site operator: as I assume no responsibility for any damage. Strongly discouraged to perform any procedures written below!

For now, all the mobile station and the converters from the Chinese manufacturers use the accessory connector Cannon 26 ( HD26F), so suffice to buy ( HD26M ), some one USB extension cable or anything with a USB-A and link. This is done. If, therefore, would anyone want to ubastlit DMR something more than a source or did not want to rattle prkenicí when buying original (about 30 €), so there can be realized. Just please note that this cable can not upload new firmware into the converter, but only to the mobile station - tested several times! Nor can this cable be used if the station is connected to the microphone keypad. This is the station communicates over a network, which is common for microphone jack and rear connector accessories and controls its kind station - smart microphone connected to a 5V UART and požítači when connected to a USB. Therefore, this cable can be run in parallel with the connected intelligent microphone. The ordinary mind and need not be disconnected.

Hytera Although lately innovatively throws in enough water TETRA and DMR trunks, especially on the basis of infrastructure, but does not forget the DMR Tier II. Hytera PD502

Designation in the European region will PD502. This radio is clearly Hytera DMR responds to cheap radios from Motorola Commercial Series, especially DP1400. This corresponds not only simpler structures (lower IP protection), but also equipment (absence GPS module and sensors Man down).

What we Hytera still going?

As hinted by the two pictures above model series, we will see a number PD5xx even a version with a black and white display and compact keyboard and a number PD6xx two versions with color display, compact and full keyboard. Model designation, however, is yet unknown. Who wants to guess, so variations can be PD522, PD622, PD682, etc.
