Where the technology stands today!
DMR Tier 3 products are now available. DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) has become the most popular digital PMR protocol, largely due to its Mode 2 product success seen in recent years. Tier 3 is the fully trunked version providing true trunking features with managed resources and intelligent queuing. DMR has quickly become the No1 choice for migration from other systems.

DMR - 100% digital TDMA technology, designed to operate two time slots within existing 12.5kHz channel spacing. DMR meets FCC regulatory requirements for 6.25kHz channel equivalence. DMR was developed and ratified by (ETSI) European Telecommunications Standards Institute.

DMR Tier III: Fully Trunked
DMR Tier III covers trunking operation in frequency bands 66-960MHz. The Tier III standard specifies two-slot TDMA in 12.5kHz channels. Tier III supports voice and short messaging handling similar to MPT-1327 with built-in 128 character status messaging and short messaging with up to 288 bits of data in a variety of formats. It also supports packet data service in a variety of formats, including support for IPv4 and IPv6.

DMR Tier II: Conventional
DMR Tier II covers licensed conventional radio systems, mobiles and hand portables operating in PMR frequency bands from 66-960MHz. The ETSI DMR Tier II standard is targeted at users who need spectral efficiency, advanced voice features and integrated IP data services in licensed bands for high-power communications. ETSI DMR Tier II specifies two-slot TDMA in 12.5kHz channels.
DMR Tier II products are commercially available today.

Features marked with ** will become available over the coming months.

DMR Tier III User Features:
Emergency Call & Alert
Pre-emptive Emergency If the network is busy, this call service clears down the existing call and gives the highest priority for the emergency call.
Remote Kill/Stun/Revive (disables a lost or stolen radio over the air)
Call Back (missed incoming calls can be stored to return the call later)
Call Queue (fully automatic controller within the infrastructure)
Digital Voice Scrambler (radio manufacturer specific)
ANI (Automatic number identified) radio shows alias of who is calling
Late Entry Call Set-up (this function shows caller’s name and allows you to join a conversation)

DMR Tier III Subscriber Control:

In depth subscriber control includes call timers and queuing as well as automatic call logging

Network Administration | Dispatcher | Tracking
Over the past 3 decades Fylde have supplied and supported over 4000 radio networks. SYSCON is the network operation and management terminal that controls and monitors these systems. For MultiLingo, Fylde has developed an entirely new product built to give the network operator the ultimate power and flexibility necessary to run a modern system efficiently.

Next Generation SYSCON-Suite™
The in depth network control that Fylde’s SYSCON is renowned for has evolved, now providing management and monitoring of your system using a secure IP connection from a common web browser session. Syscon-Suite offers integrated applications such as a SIP based dispatcher and asset tracking all via a web browser.
Multi-Lingo System Specification
Multi-Lingo can be used to build systems ranging in size from 2 channels on a single site to national systems of over 1000 sites. Each Multi-Lingo tray supports either 4 x DMR timeslots, 4 channels of dPMR or 4 channels of MPT1327. Trays can provide a mix of protocols up to 32 channels per site.

No other Fylde components required to make a system. ** See (RCS) note >
Each 1u / 44mm height chassis supports 4 time-slots
Up to 32 time-slots per site
Up to 1000 sites networks across multiple regions
Network supports over 1 Million subscriber terminals
SIP digital telephone Interconnect as well as 2 Wire POTS.
Native IP connectivity
Cross protocol calling - DMR Tier III / MPT1327 / dPMR
Network administration / Troubleshooting done via web session

IP Bandwidth Optimisation
**(RCS) note

For larger networks of over 5 sites it is recommended to use a separate (RCS) Regional Control Server. The separate RCS further optimises IP radio network traffic by arbitrating subscriber registration data.
